Luke D. Peterson, DVM

Dr. Peterson took over ownership of Mosinee Veterinary Clinic from Dr. Pope in January 2016.  His clinical interests are surgery, traumatic wound healing, and infectious diseases.  Outside of the clinic, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children water skiing, hunting, and competing in AKC Gundog Beagle field trials.  He is an active member of the Central Wisconsin Beagle Club and a contributing author on health information articles for Hounds and Hunting and Better Beagling magazines.  He also enjoys running half and full marathons with his brother.

Ann Deiss, DVM

Dr. Ann Deiss is a native of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin and graduated in the first class from the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. Previous to coming to Mosinee Veterinary Clinic in 2015, she owned and practiced at a small animal clinic in Fond du Lac for nearly 20 years. Her veterinary interests include feline medicine, geriatrics, pain management, and whole food nutritional supplements. She is a certified Fear Free practitioner.

Dr. Ann lives in Antigo with her husband and feral (now tame) cat. She has 3 adult children, 3 adult step children and one grandchild. She is a Master Gardener and also enjoys back yard birding and kayaking.

Jamie, CVT/Co-Manager

IMG_7195Jamie graduated from Ridgewater College in Willmar, MN with an AAS in Veterinary Technology in 2005.  After completing a rotation at the University of Minnesota Veterinary Hospital and an externship at a mixed animal practice in MN she returned home to WI.  In 2005, Jamie passed her state boards and VTNE, becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician.  Jamie has a wide range of experience in the veterinary field, both with small animals and dairy.  For many years she worked in emergency and critical care, and pursued her passion for teaching as an instructor in an accredited veterinary technology program.  As Jamie's family grew, she decided a lifestyle change was needed and in October of 2013 she joined the Mosinee Veterinary Clinic family.  It has been a perfect fit!  Jamie currently lives by Marathon with her husband Ben, and their three children, Lacey, Parker and Jack.  They currently have several pets, a Heeler mix Baxter, two cats, Comet and Junior as well as 12 chickens.  She enjoys spending time with her family, playing volleyball, being outdoors and gardening.

Laura, CVT

IMG_7226Laura graduated in 2012 from Bel-Rea Institute of animal technology in Denver, CO. with an A.A.S. in Veterinary Technology. Laura then moved back to Wisconsin, where she passed her board exams thus, becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician and joined the Mosinee Team in 2013. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling the world with her husband and daughters, hunting with her dog (Atlas), fishing, camping, snowboarding, gardening, and pretty much anything outdoors.

Maria, CVT

Maria Adamovich is originally from the Stevens Point area. In 2016 she graduated from the University of Wisconsin River- Falls with two Bachelor degrees, majoring in Companion Animals and Animal Science, while also minoring in German. From there she went to continue her education at Madison Technical College, earning her Associate degree in Veterinary Technology. In August of 2018, Maria passed her state boards and VTNE, becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician. Currently she is living in Stevens Point with her husband and daughter.  Together they have two dogs (Bear and Egon), one cat (Jess) and a guinea pig (Buzz). Outside of work, Maria enjoys spending time with her family, gardening and being outdoors.

Amber, Veterinary Technician

IMG_7244Amber was born and raised in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.  She graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at Globe University in 2013 and has been working at the Mosinee Veterinary Clinic since.   She lives with her wonderful  husband (Dylan), 3 children (Owen, Oliver and Isla), dog (Marley) and cats (Akeem and August Snickers).   In her free time she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, canoeing/kayaking and camping!

Solia, Veterinary Technician

Meet Solia! one of our Veterinary Technicians!⭐️
⭐️ She’s been part of the Mosinee Veterinary family since 2020!
⭐️ She graduated from Milwaukee carreer College with a Veternairy Technician degree.
⭐️ Outside of work she enjoys spending time outdoors like hiking, rock climbing, and fishing!
⭐️ She also enjoys in her free time going to the gym and painting/ drawing.

Brittiany, Veterinary Technician

Meet Brittiany! one of our Veterinary Technicians!⭐️

⭐️ She’s been part of the Mosinee Veterinary family since 2022!
⭐️ She Graduated Vet Tech School in 2023
⭐️ Has 2 beautiful kids, Mason and Bailee. She also has 2 great dogs, Poe and Rio.
⭐️ She enjoys spending time with her kids and husband, traveling, hiking and fishing!

Pamela, Office Manager/Veterinary Assistant

IMG_7253Pam has lived in the Wausau area her whole life.  She joined the Mosinee Veterinary Clinic in August of 2007.  She is planning on going back to school for Business in the near future and becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician.  She shares her home with her husband Zach and their two daughters, Amelia and Josie.  They have many pets inside and outside of their home; 3 inside cat (Millie Vanille, Mittens) 3 outside cats (Ragnar, Arya, and Trip), 3 Dogs (Izzie - Cockapoo, Nila - Newfoundland, Arlo - Black Lab),  a Chinchilla (Luna), 2 Ball Pythons, 5 Russian tortoises, a Tegu, Chickens, and Ducks.   When she’s not working she enjoys spending time with her family, arts and crafts, photography, fishing, traveling and spending time outside on their hobby farm.

Emily, Veterinary Assistant

Emily has been working as a Veterinary Assistant at the Mosinee Vet Clinic since June 2017, and before being an employee had job shadowed at the clinic for the three summers prior and her family has come to the clinic for their animals for many years. Ever since she was little, working with animals had always been the dream job. Growing up she had a wide variety of pets, from dogs and cats, to rabbits and guinea pigs, and always had a love for wildlife. Emily went to University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, graduating May 2017 with a Bachelor of Science Degree, having majored in Biology (Pre-Veterinary emphasis) with minors in chemistry and psychology. Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time with her family and dog, a Golden Retriever named Willow and a little Shih-Tzu Henry. Her hobbies include camping, biking, hiking, and scrap booking.

 

Laryssa, Veterinary Assistant

IMG_7258Laryssa joined the Mosinee Vet Clinic team in August of 2010.  Her passion for animal care has always been a well known trait by both friends and family, so it wasn't any surprise that she found herself at MVC.  Over the years, her motivation and enthusiasm for animals continued to grow, and in 2017, she graduated from Northcentral Technical College majoring in Agriculture Business and Dairy Science.  She enjoys many aspects of veterinary medicine - from companion animals and exotics, to horses and dairy.  Through her years of clinic experience, and her education, Laryssa has established a wealth of knowledge in these different areas of animal care. Laryssa resides in Kronenwetter with her husband Dave, two sons Blake and Ben, 8 horses, 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 goats and a rabbit.  In her free time, Laryssa enjoys raising and training horses, barrel racing, snowmobiling and spending time with family.

Michaela, Veterinary Assistant

Michaela grew up in Phillips, WI and has graduated from the Veterinary Science Program at Northcentral Technical College in 2019.  She loves animals and currently owns a white Chinchilla named Whiskey and a grey one named Rhett.  She also has 2 cats named Phoenix and Axton.  Her hobbies include hunting, fishing, camping, listening to music, and art.  Michaela also loves spending time with her family and friends.

Kathy, Office/Assistant

Kathy has been with the Mosinee Veterinary Clinic for many years. Kathy enjoys doing dental cleanings, working in the office and helping out wherever she is needed at the clinic.

Kathy has a husband and three sons. She enjoys cooking, spending time with her family, snowmobiling, ATVing and being outdoors. Kathy loves all animals big or small.
